Doesn't mean they won't turn up on opening weekend.
Also, the people who NEED to have interest for this movie to be a financial success, the average movie goers who just want two good hours in exchange for ten bucks, probably won't have any interest until the real promotion of the movie starts months from now and some good buzz gets out there.
As far as the waning interest of some folks who aware of the movie now goes, just wait until cast pictures and the first photos of the Enterprise come out.
