Will "The Phantom Menace 3D" bomb?

In the UK I've seen more Clone Wars related merchandise than I ever noticed for the Prequels. There are fans of Star Wars who weren't even born when Attack was in the Cinema.

I've got a second cousin who plays the Lego games on the wii... but has never played with Lego.

They obviously weren't obsessed with The Clone Wars yet. The TV show is what made it popular, not the film.

Okay. I believe the show is popular. I just don't believe it has attained the kind of pervasive popularity of shows like Power Rangers and Pokemon had in their day.

Nor can anybody expect it to, being on a cable network and having far more competition for kid's attention.

The trailer is online at several sites. It's very similar to the Special Edition theatrical trailers-basically, showing the films on a small TV, then enlarging it, with narration about the film.

My thought is, and forgive me if this has already been mentioned, that it will be a big hit because of a new generation of kids who are cutting their teeth on the Clone Wars and the fact that ticket prices will be higher... I imagine the per screen audience will be lower, but the overall take will be higher simply becuase 3D costs more.

And yes, I will be seeing it eventually..

After watching the recent Blu Rays for all their flaws the prequels are insanely nice films to look at. I'll be there for the 3D releases.
