Will the BBC commission a new spin-off?

it's Gallifrey. to rhyme with grey. or ray. or say.

christ, just listen to the Doctor saying it.
I believe some accents in Classic Who did indeed pronounce it Galifree. In Armegeddon Factor, I believe the fellow Timelord says "Remember me to Galifree"

EMH

All you need to know is that

Is that Leela is an agent for President Romana and they basically met during the Gallifrey series 1
Who met in Gallifrey Series 1? I don't recall Jago and Lightfoot meeting Leela in Gallifrey Series 1. If you mean Leela and Romana, they met, in Zagreus, I believe (I haven't listened to it yet, it's waiting for me), but, there are a couple of McGann's with Leela and Romana set before Gallifrey Series 1. At the beginning of Gallifrey Series 1, Leela and Romana are already fully acquainted

I think you're right.
My point was to show where in Leela's personal timeline Jago and Lightfoot season 3 occurs. I don't know about Leela and Romana meeting in Zagreus though you are right that Leela and Romana definitely knew each other by the time of Gallifrey series 1
Ah, so you're saying Leela's timeline in Jago and Litefoot occurs during the first series of Gallifrey? I guess that makes more sense than after series 4.

What about the Dream Lord's limerick from "Amy's Choice"?

There was an old Doctor from Gallifrey
Who carelessly threw his whole life away

But I have found that, unless you're saying it very carefully, there's usually at least a bit of a long "e" that sneaks into the end of the word.

Leela & Romana definately meet in "Zagreus." I love the bit at the end after Charley sneaks aboard the TARDIS to go with the Doctor and Leela asks Romana, "Did you ever find the back door to the TARDIS?" I just love the smugness in that moment when Romana suddenly realizes that Leela was much smarter than she ever gave her credit for.

I still like the idea of a Jo Grant spin-off that has the same tone & demographic as The Sarah Jane Adventures but in a more globe-trotting format. (But really, I just want Iris Wildthyme to make a TV appearance. :( )

Maybe they'd go for a River Song spin-off but then again she already has her own series. :)

If I was pitching a spin-off it would be about 10.2 (IMO he's the Cushing Doctor) and Rose in the other universe. Earthbound adventures in the vein of the Third Doctor. Possibly as a Science Advisor to that world's version of UNIT. And with on going hints that he's building/growing a TARDIS in the basement. ;) Couldn't call it "Doctor Who", though. Maybe Doctor 2/Two/Too? Of course you'd need Tennant and Piper to pull it off. Toss in past Who characters (with a twist of course) from time to time and you'll be in fan wank heaven. Okay, maybe thats just me.

And therein lies the problem. Tennant definitely seems open to return for Specials, but, I don't think he'd want to be tied down to the Doctor on weekly basis again, if he was interested in that, he probably wouldn't have left.
