I wouldn't be surprised to see an Enterprise led by Robert April near the end of the 7th season!

Well, there's a flimsy argument if I've ever heard one.
Since April (non-cannon) preceded Pike, and Pike was in command "13 years ago" according to Spock during S1 of TOS...this probably isn't very likely.
I think this is probably correct. Sans any mentions or even a blink-and-you-miss-it appearance in some sort of large fleet/armada/Spacedock scene. Which would be fun easter eggs for the fans (in the tradition of every other series and the new movies), but not really affecting the story.
Sarek will probably mention his famous son a couple times. I'd be surprised if he mentioned his other son, though.

Again, Star Trek has tried to reimagine or reboot itself several times already. Every single time, it has chosen to back off. There was this whole "next generation" thing where all the spinoffs, TNG, DS9 and VOY, eventually showed the unaltered TOS starship as still being part of their universe. There was this "previous generation" thing that showed an unaltered TOS ship. And then three distinct sets of movies, all co-starring the unaltered TOS ship.
They did claim they were edgy. They did reinvent some of the premises and characters. They did introduce all-new ways of visualizing the fictional universe. And then they all backpedaled. They backpedaled their cool little trick bicycles through the fiery hoops of smoothly reintegrating the new with the old while bending over backwards. And the crowds cheered. After all, those who "cared" got what they wanted. And it turned out that those who didn't, didn't. Nothing wrong with Kirk's exact NCC-1701 after all, it seems.
Of course, it would be futile to claim anything else. 1960s production values may have been different from today's, but even as of 2017 they are extremely low in absolute terms: nothing about Trek looks "real", and thus will not be exempt from getting "dated" the way actual historical things like Spanish galleons or Roman swords and standards are. The Shenzhou is just as sorely needing of embarrassed reimagining as the NCC-1701-nil-prerefit-classic. Which is to say, not at all.

IF they show the TOS era Constitution class, it WILL be re-imagined at least some. It has to fit into the aesthetic that they've created in this series. Honestly, all it would need is a little texturing on the hull and accentuating the grey/non-white portions, really exactly like what the Vektor rendering of the Enterprise looks like.
On the interior, a mild updating of the displays and control panels - as was said, you could easily put touch enabled controls where physical controls used to be, retain the use of some switches, swap CRT displays for LCD or holoprojected images onto a semi-transparent panel.. and make it look good. Mute the interior colors but retain the color scheme. Adjust lighting a bit.. and it could be done.
That is not to say that it should be done. It'll either be a glorious rendition of an iconic vessel, or a total failure that we all will laugh and cringe about for years.

My guess is that if we do see the TOS Enterprise, it'll be some version of the Abrams Enterprise.
I doubt there's any kind of asset sharing going on between CBS and Paramount/Bad Robot over Discovery.
But if we see the Enterprise or another Constitution-class ship, I suspect it'll look noticably more modern than the original. Maybe along these lines:

As I said elsewhere, the classic Constitution class is sleek, smooth, streamlined, elegant and graceful; the best of the best of the fleet and obviously more advanced than the rough industrial designs covered in greebles that we see here.
This series isn't focused on the top of the line such as the TOS Enterprise. It's more about the "lower decks" of the whole fleet, focused on the workhorses such as the Shenzhou and the Discovery. There is room for a great range of design within Starfleet.
Smooth and streamlined TOS ships would be like advanced iphones amongst the clunky, inelegant brick phones of the ST-DSC fleet. I just don't get the notion that a bunch of pieces of little junk stuck to the exterior makes something look more advanced.
If we do get to see the original Constitution-class design in all it's sleek, futuristic, and elegantly simple glory, it will be a real treat.
