I'm all for deleted scenes and bonus footage to help flesh out and expand on a story, but it's clear that CLONES didn't have enough trimmed from its final edit.

Have you seen the fanedits? Specifically the one done by the Phantom Editor? Because they pretty much disprove your point.

I've seen the Episode I Phantom Edit. I'm not a fan, and I realize that counters my argument about Episode II needing a few more trims to be a better movie...but so be it.

Episode I is the superior film. It didn't need quite as much doctoring as the next movie in the trilogy did.
