Why would it be bad getting beamed anywhere in a red Starfleet shirt ?

For what creatively witty (G rated, or R rated) serious or humorous
reasons, do you think it'd be a bad idea to get beamed (via a transporter)
onto anywhere (from a Star Trek ship) in either the real world, or the
Star Trek world, in a red colored only Starfleet shirt ?

Hah, that was my knee jerk response when I read the OP's post.

But I would probably vote that it would be pretty crappy to get beamed into Valley Forge during the winter of 1777-78 while wearing a red shirt.

actually. its was pretty common for those in red shirts to not come back.. cos they got drim-chimed or killed..
