Why was the Original Series a career killer for so many?

The writer obviously very familiar with her work for Big Finish with the mentions of Counter Measures and The Robots.

Okay now know why.

Big Finish put out a release on her passing and it seems various news outlets picked up.

The guardian article just credits "the press association" but another article references Big Finish's release/

Was such a shame to lose Salem last week, and then within 48 hours we lost John Savident too, two Blakes 7 and Who Alumni in quick succession as he was in The Visitation (though probably better known for his B7 appearances, especially as Egrorian)

and in none of those appearances did his character survive.

Not unusual in B7 and Who

Hell
none of the main cast of Blakes 7 survive, the only recurring character who does is Servalan!

Only just seen the sad news about Pamela Salem. Such a good actress who brought a touch of class to everything she appeared in.

Obviously great in Who and she was the highpoint of Counter Measures but I also have a soft spot for her performance as the sexy French neighbour in French Fields.
