Why Tom Cruise still matters

^Willis is an asshole? I'd always heard good reports about him in recent years. I know James Garner didn't like him when they worked together years ago, but that was in Bruce's early days of stardom. I've heard he's a total pro nowadays.

Not if Kevin Smith is to be believed, by all accounts Willis was a total dick when they were filming Cop Out. Although that's obviously just one person's view, I've only really heard Smith badmouth one other actor and that was Linda Fiorentina (sp?) after Dogma.

Yeah but Smith only had a cameo there. I think actually he was more dissapointed because he'd enjoyed working with him on Die Hard. Like I say that's just one opinion though.

Is there a Kevin Smith interview or something about Cop Out? I always thought he was a great admirer of Willis.

I also really liked Knight & Day, mostly because it was a psychotic parody of the arrogant Tom Cruise persona.

I really need to get round to seeing that movie; I've been meaning to for ages.

While he's certainly not as big as he was 15-20 years ago, he's retained his popularity a lot better than most other leading men of that era have... Then there's Richard Gere, who puts me to sleep at the best of times.

Richard Gere is a pretty good actor with a warm screen presence but since the mid-90s has chosen fairly mediocre projects to work on. Shame.
