Why the hate for Disco?

That's the biggest problem with the Netflix episodes of MST3K. The jokes are crammed into each movie at such a rate and pace that Jonah and the 'Bots barely have time to breathe before one of them has to say the next reference or line. It's terribly distracting and one reason why I find Seasons 11 and 12 of the series the hardest to get through of any that aren't from the local KTMA days.

Yeah, the conversational feel of a bunch of friends heckling a bad movie has been lost. Hard for the characters to have personality when it’s so rat-a-tat-tat. Doesn’t help that the robot voices are so similar now.

It's no longer organic and natural. It feels more than ever that the performers are reading from a script and taking turns.

That said, "Cry Wilderness" belongs up there with the best MST3Ks since the series left Comedy Central. That one is the gem of the Netflix run.

If I have to read one more article about how "I'm okay with a black woman, but don't make her emotional", I'm going to scream. Discovery is The Michael Burnham show and it's not going to change. They've already bent over backwards trying to show more of the bridge crew so people would shut up.

Yeah, I'm pretty much done with the complaints of emotions with Michael. Sorry, she has a back story that explains it perfectly.

The most disturbing commentary for me is that Burnham should know her place when dealing with authority figures who are generally white people.

Trekkies celebrated when kirk thumbed his nose at authority or when riker made jellico beg for his help, but heaven forbid a black woman assert herself.
