"Why the Enterprise-D Was Badly Designed"

Because Beige is an ugly color that makes me annoyed. Beige reminds me of a poorly designed car my parents had in the 90s that had no personality. Just flat, ugly and dismissible. The beige of the bridge makes me want to turn the show off.

Someone likes, someone doesn't.
It doesn't make me like beige any more or less but my first car was beige but it was also a piece of you-know-what....

The second so-called design issue is that 'some fans thought it looked disproportionate'. I can safely stop there I reckon.

This is ultimately my biggest issue with the design; having an overly broad saucer with a significantly smaller and narrower stardrive section with two nacelles that look like they can be bench seats for a poorly designed picnic table. From what I've heard, the model was a pain in the ass to work with because it was so top heavy

The Enterprise-E was a huge design improvement. Much sleeker and proportional

Those proportions were deliberately chosen so when viewed from the front it filled the screen and the stardrive section looked further away in perspective. The problem is that it only works well from certain angles and ridiculous from others

Stardrive always looks out of place to me.

It needs a little more meat to it to balance it.
