Why not have the Replicators appear in the finale of SGU?

hey all, i did some research earlier and apparently my earlier thread was incorrect, brad wright hasn't said (at least officially) that the replicators would appear.

but now that the show has been canceled, what else does he have to lose? think about it. the replicators were featured prominently throughout SG1. the replicators even showed up for an entire season in Pegasus, even though it's in another galaxy and even the SG1 movie.

it's not improbable to think the replicators could have reached as far as Destiny. we were never told what happened to the replicators outside the Milky Way so it would be a great way to wrap the replicator arc.

2) The finale is already written and filmed, so unless Replicators are part of the actual story (let's hope not) it's too late to add them.

4) The Replicator arc is done. All the Milky Way and Pegasus Replicators are confirmed destroyed, and that's all we need to know.

Let's face fact here, Replicators have been done to death. And then brought back from death, only to be done even moreso to death. Let's give them a rest. The least SGU can do for us is be the one Stargate series that didn't feature Replicators.

Oh, and did I mention it's a stupid idea?

I am with the "its a really really really stupid idea" club. The Destiny is so FAR away from the Asgard Galaxy or our own and any galaxy near those galaxies...

The Replicators appearing would make no sense and the story was wrapped up far as I am bothered.

They've beaten that dead horse quite enough. The Replicators were originally pretty cool. When the human-forms came along, they were pretty hit and miss. And then the Atlantis replicators came along, and it was all down-hill from there. Leave 'em dead.

It's not really an issue now.
But it's a good idea. Replicators can always be done in a new an interesting way but I don't think they could do it.
