Seeing as he seeming didn't age at all during Enterprise's 4 season run, we must assume he's some sort of genetically-engineered, long-lived super-beagle of some kind.

I don't know if Wolverene kept smiling like that in the X-Men movies it wouldve seemed a little.. no word fits.
Supposedly one of the writers of the ENT episode 'In a Mirror Darkly' intended to have Archer's biography up on a viewing screen indicate that he died exactly one day after the launch of the NCC-1701 in 2245, but since this bit of information never made it into the actual episode, it is not canon.
Plus, since this film is supposedly an "alternate timeline" we presumably don't know what Archer's history is in this film. However, since much of this film takes place in the early to mid 2260s, Archer would be about 150 years old if he were still alive.
