Why is ABC sacrificing V putting it up against NCIS?

I would have thought that the people who watch NCIS in part for the shootouts are the audience of V and the dirty war against the lizards. So what if NCIS draws some people who were Mark Harmon fans when People magazine named him sexiest man alive however many years ago that was.

Some new show up against NCIS? The only cop show on TV worth watching?

I'll take NCIS.

NCIS is a GREAT show....and it's audience is unique in that it has actually grown with every passing year, rather than gotten smaller as people lost interest or the writers ran out of ideas. Instead, this show has GAINED interest and momentum.

I give pretty much every scifi show that comes on a chance. But up against NCIS, right out of the gate, is a bad place to put this show. I like the idea of it following LOST much better.

I'll watch it and give it a try if I can...but if it's a choice between V and NCIS, NCIS wins. I have 6 years invested in a great show. You think I'd quit for some new show just because it happens to be a scifi show, when the vast majority of new scifi shows turn out to be lame these days?

No way.

Two shows can survive in the same timeslot and be very successful (i.e. Frasier and Home Improvement, or CSI and Grey's Anatomy).
