Why do people keep saying Voyager weakened the Borg?

QFT:bolian:

A review has no merit if it's presented from a bias point of view because it's lost it's objectivity. Complaining is not a review, it's simply using a format to bitch.

Could you give us an example of a negative TV show or movie review that is based on objectivity and not presented from a biased point of view?
There are plenty of critics and press that have been openly bias about the personal attitudes of such actors like Russell Crowe and Sean Penn, yet that bias isn't shown nor does it affect the reviews of their films or movie projects. They are base upon their performance or film subject content. Richard Gere was black listed by the press and public for comments he made after 9/11, yet his political point of view has no effect on any review of his films he did after.

I am not sure where the analogue is. Does sfdebris have a personal issue with an actor? Why is complaining not a review?

I've seen some of the sfdebris reviews of the arious shows he reviews. Some I agree with some I don't. Yes sometimes his reviews are negative and he complains but he always says it's his opinion.

So that being the case if complaining about an episode isn't considered a review logically the reverse is also true and praising an episode isn't a review.

An honest review can only start from hate.

A negative review from a from a lover is probably as honest as a loving review form a hater, and at this point in the game only fricking children are impartial, so we're looking for transitioning points of view, and almost anything can make someone hate, but it's really hard to love anything or anyone, ever, after you turn thirty.

Yep, that is true too because it also lacks objectivity.
No film or TV show ep. is 100% perfect.

The first episode of Lost was a hundred percent success, and the last episode of Lost was a hundred percent fail.

sfdebris are bullshit all the reviews are made by VoY Hater not objective at all.

A review has no merit if it's presented from a bias point of view because it's lost it's objectivity. sfbedris often bases how good an episode is simply based on how well he personally likes the character regardless of subject content, acting or cinematography. A review isn't honest if it's based on favoritism. Complaining is not a review, it's simply using a format to bitch.

I like you already :techman:

Back to opening topic: VOY did not weaken the Borg. Any series with multiple Borg episodes would have had issues doing convincing stories based around the assimilation threat. Had TNG done this would we complain?

DS9 had th Borg once.

It scared the shit out of me.

Enterprise had the Borg once.

I threw my TV down a stairwell.

More like the Borg did DS9.

If they hadn't killed Jennifer, gods know who would have been given that command in orbit of Bajor, and the Worm hole would never have been found, and the Dominion war would have been delayed for centuries.

The Phrophets are "pan-time".

As soon as Sisko joined them, he had always been there and always been part of the decision making process that killed Jennifer. In fact, I don't think that Benjamin would have allowed anyone at all to have whacked his wife but himself. Slept with his father, that's some other buggers job, but killed his wife? That gig was all about Ben.

So, while digging through screenshots, I noticed they made the Borg in the flashbacks in "Dark Frontier" look like TNG-era Borg (they had mottled skin, though.)

They must have assimilated a species along the way who thought they looked silly and told them to update their look.

OMG!!! Hilarious!!! I exploded in laughter here for the past 10 mins!! :guffaw::lol::rofl:

Ironically it was Colonel Green and his Optimum Movement, that fire bombed the last crop, but you'know World World III helped, not much of anything survived a hundred thousand atomic bombs spending themselves.

It always would have been Sisko. The prophets had already seen it.

Just like the Prophets always knew Winn Adami would be the bitch that let the Pah-Wraiths loose. She was destined. It didn't even require Opaka/Bareil dying for Winn to accomplish that feat, but it certainly made her job easier.
