Why didn't the Romulans ever engage in a full out war with the Federation?

    Most people go to war for a reason, with your example being Tng timeline..
    I don't think they had a reason to go to war.. what was in it for them? Did they hate the Feds? Sure.. but like any other nation/state.. they have there own problems, and having an all out war probably didnt sereve any purpose..
    Kinda like the Cold war, Rusians would have loved a war.. but they would be equally as dead.. so they didn't.

    Simple "disrespect" isn't generally actionable. I'd advise growing a thicker skin.
