Still running the AC most days here in Florida. Hot sucks. One day i'll make it to a cooler state. And I mean that in every sense of the term.

The DC area just had its first snow, not much to begin with. We generally have milder winters here than back in my native New England. It is mostly in the high 30s and low 40s these days. It's not terribly cold.

So in less than 8 hours, I will be going to the airport to fly up to Minnesota. Now it's colder than a polar bear's cave down here in Texas but it's even worse in Minnesota. I'm not used to cold weather. I like it. I enjoy it. But not 0 below weather. I don't even have clothing for that anymore.

Oh no! Guess I shouldn't mention that the temp right now with the windchill is -13 degrees F. The high forecasted for next Tuesday is 5 degrees! Can you change your plans?

Just be sure that if you're going to be driving and parking in the metro area, that you're aware if there is a Snow Emergency going on. We had our first one last night in Minneapolis, and over 1200 cars were towed to the impound lot because drivers don't know the rules... Hope you enjoy your stay here!!
