My favourite of all the Doctor Who creatures is the Dalek. As a Whovian artist, its design inspires my imagination… And therefore the question has to be:
If Daleks were to adorn themselves, what would they wear?

In my opinion, the Dalek design was heavily influenced by Art Deco architecture. It can be seen in buildings such as the Phnom Penh market dome, Royal Albert Hall, and observatory structures of that time. I have used Art deco domes as my primary resource objects and Celtic shields.

Through time, civilizations have made reference to body-parts in their artwork. Whether is the main body-form, limbs or the eyes - windows to the soul.

This new design contains structural elements common of the Art Deco period that are also present in the Dalek design. This brooch also incorporates a three dimensional optical illusion: is it an eyeball straining to see or a war machine with a large cannon?

Available in sterling silver & bronze.

Does this fall under the 'soliciting' section of the rules then? Is this indeed, to put it succinctly and in a nutshell, as you say, a 'lock' situation? A transgression? A Norwegian Blue?

Is this, in a word or two, a 'dead parrot' ?

If so, may I just say the following -

TITS!! BUM! BOTTOM! and AR@EF*CK!

That is all..

OTOH (sinking feeling), no website has actually been given or eluded to, really, has it? Oh crap. Ohhh fishbollocks! In which case, let me just say, OMG sorry, sorry sorry, I am so soorry.

Perhaps I should just avoid these kind of things on drinkies night..

<Races off to seek his nemesis> 'Dun dun dun de dun de dun de dun de dun de dunnnn!'

Quick Ginger, kick them in the nuts!

Obviously, you have never seen a salt or pepper shaker. The Dalek design was obviously heavily influenced by pepper shakers.

Really nice designs, but we generally frown on anything that resembles solicitation on the board proper. It's not my forum and the forum mods are on right now, so I'll check with them to see how they feel about it.

I really do like the designs, however.

I saw a better "In Before the Lock" animation that had Indy sliding under the door then reaching back for his hat.

Indy > Geordie, Trek board notwithstanding.

I know I'm spoused to bash the original poster, but I just thought I'd say I do actually have a pewter tardis key, like the one used in the movie which I am very proud to wear in public. Don't know if it counts as jewellery though

I was just thinking about that the other day. The odd shovel-shaped key the 4th Doctor used. I've missed that thing.

As much as I like to encourage creativity like this, it honestly is the policy to avoid solicitation such as this.
