Who's your favorite major Marvel comics character(s)?

Well, there's a DC one, so...

For me, my favorites are the Fantastic Four - pretty much my favorite comics characters period. The very first comic I ever bought had the FF in it and I've been hooked ever since. The only blips in an otherwise life-long devotion were the movies (Hollywood didn't so much rape my childhood as ream it a little).

And thou?

Iron Man and Machine Man I've always liked the technology/mechanical based heroes the best.

My favorite is Thor, when properly written—which is exceedingly rare. You need only watch Hulk vs. to see that.

Jubilee.

Honorable mentions:

1. Cyclops
2. Blink
3. Psylocke
4. Jean Grey
5. Wolverine

(I also love Valeria Von Doom and Ultimate Sue Storm, whom I couldn't refrain from mentioning.)

The X-Men were always my number one favorite comic and I eventually got every single Claramont issue. But after 1998 or so I just stopped caring about them, and what they are now I barely recognize anymore. The past year or so I've actually been getting into the larger MarvelU for the first time... I like all of the New and Mighty Avengers, I liked Spidey in the Larsen/McFarlane days. Number one overall would have to be Wolverine.

I like Spidey though not in the films. I hate the melodrama and I hate Tobey. If I'd only kew the character from the films I would have no doubt that all he cared about was himself. Fortunately I know better.

I love Wolverine, Prof. X, and Magneto. I also like Pyro's arc in the films.

I have a soft spot for Dazzler (my av) not because I like Disco but I like the character's arc.

DOOM!

That's right, one Doctor Victor Von Doom. Ruler of Latveria. His mere presence can elevate a third string beginner hero into a real contender. And if it doesn't, then it was a Doombot who appeared.

Seriously though, Doom 2099 was a great series. Best of the entire 2099 line. Doom doing what Doom does best, from his perspective.

The Original X-Men - Cyclops, Marvel Girl, "Furless" Beast, Iceman, and "Regular Wings" Angel - I love the original Silver Age stories, and X-Men First Class was a superb edition. I just don't really care for Wolverine, Gambit, etc. Plus, I love the original costumes and more fun concept.

Iron Man (Grey and Yellow Armor) - I just picked up recently the first Marvel Essentials version of Iron Man and love the old stories, fighting Commies and aliens and the like. Good stuff. I also, on a side note, loved the movie as well.

Fantastic Four - Definitely another fun group, with great gadgets, fun banter, and out-there aliens. Happy to own the DVD collection of the original comic series. Liked the movies and 90s animated series as well.

Ant-Man - Yup, Ant-Man, before all of the Ultron stuff, at least.

Spider-Man - Especially from the 90s animated series and Silver Age comics. Really fun stuff.
