Who's Your Favorite Go'Auld

Sindatur

The Gray Owl Wizard
Admiral
I'm just about finished with Season 5 in my Marathon Rewatch of SG1. I missed quite a bit of the first 5 Seasons, or simply didn't remember alot of it. I like Apophis well enough, but, there's quite a few prissy Go'Aulds like him, so he's pretty typical of most of the Early Go'Aulds.

I think the creepiest Go'Auld for me, up to this point (Just finished ep 5.18, a couple episodes after the 3 part Summit leading up to Anubis' return) is Zipacna the Creepy Smiling Go'Auld (Played by Kevin Durand who also played Martin Keamy in LOST). I like Nihrti pretty well, too.

Anubis. He and Ba'al were two of the few Goa'uld who were intelligent while not letting their arrogance get the better of them. Ba'al though was far too comedic for my tastes, while Anubis was genuinely threatening, if a bit clichéd a times.

As a villain, I suppose Nirrti was the most interesting. But for some bizarre reason I always enjoyed Yu's appearances.
Agree that Zipacna's oiliness was nicely sinister.

Baal was awesome, awesome enough to be someone you might want to work for if it weren't for the fact that he was evil and tended to off guys who screwed up.

I remember quite liking Ba'al's character, but, I've only seen his introductory episodes at this point in my rewatch, so, I'll definitely be watching for his reappearances.

I don't remember Anubis, aside from just the one episode, and don't recall much about it, so, I'll be watching for that too over the next few days as I finish out the Showtime era with the Final Four of S5.

I remember Eric Steinberg also played a Go'Auld later in the Series for a few episodes, and I like him quite a bit as well.

Eric Steinberg didn't play a Goa'uld, his character was the leader of the Lucian Alliance.

Yeah, I'm also going to vote for Ba'al. I love that he became quirkier and funnier as the series progressed.

I've watched the first couple of episodes from S6 now, and I really like Osiris, I completely missed seeing her episodes in the past. The first couple she was in, I was able to appreciate her, but, after watching her in several episodes, I have a whole new appreciation for her.

I like the fact that they branched out to so many different personalities for them. Early on, with Apophis, Klorel, and I believe there was at least one other, they were all pretty much carbon copies and not much else to define them by, other being prissy and evil.
