Who's your favorite character on each of the Trek series, and why?

TOS: Oh mans, picking between Spock and McCoy is tough, but I'mma go with Spock.

TAS: One more for Arex over here M'Ress is too much of a furry fantasy for my tastes.

TNG: Dr. Crusher. Picard's a close second.

DS9: Jadzia.

VOY: Janeway, derp.

ENT: Didn't much like the ladies on ENT. Gonna roll with Trip.

Now it's Arex vs. M'Ress, too? You people are expecting me to make too many hard choices. Hmmmm. I'll have to go with M'Ress on this one, although only by a very narrow margin.

TOS: Spock- great character
TNG: Data- intelligent, loveable
Voy: Chakotay- watching him in Caretaker made me love Voyager and than Star Trek

ENT: Another difficult one. I'll say Reed. I like his deadpan humour and that he had insecurity issues.

And he was so horribly posh. Proper little stereotype that has nothing at all to do with reality.... but then, come to think about it, he did come from a Royal Navy family and really was posh.

I would have liked a more typical Englishman though, dunno, some cockney football fan... someone who talks like people on the street do, watches matches at the pub and drinks beer. I'd even make do with someone who supports Chelsea.

Or perhaps a northerner. Imagine someone from Liverpool in an American tv show. It would have been great.

But they just had to go with the stereotype.

Still, he did a great job and I like the character.

Star Trek - Montgomery Scott (not the 2009 version), effective 'hands on' engineer who was just as effective in the center seat.
The Next Generation - Data, found him to be the most interesting of a super-bland cast.
Deep Space Nine - Jadzia Dax, Hubba! Hubba!
Voyager - Tuvok, criminally underused. Being a long-lived Vulcan, he should have been the center of the show.
Enterprise - At least season three's "Airlock Archer". A man who definitely figured out that "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few".

TOS: Spock or Bones I really can't choose Spock is just awesome and McCoy cracks me up.

TNG: I haven't finished but I love Data and Dr. Crusher

DS9: Too many great characters! But my first ST love was Kira... She's a bad ass

VOY: The Doctor
ENT: Again, from the main cast, Tucker. Ensemble, Shran.

TOS: Spock. He's just epic and makes the series. xD

TNG: Crusher though closely followed by Picard, Troi and Data. Just love 'em.

VOY: JANEWAY!! She's my favourite character in the whole lot of Treks. Just love her. Follwed closely by Seven of Nine and Torres.

TOS: Scotty - He's a scot, plain and simple (outwith the main cast I'd have to say Number One, hyper-efficient, cool and mysterious, what's not to like?)

TNG: Riker - A hint of a swashbuckling adventurer, who should've gotten his own ship long ago (outwith the main cast I'd go with Shelby, she was smart and feisty)

DS9: Kira - She was just brilliant (outwith the main cast it would have to be Garak, outwardly pleasant most of the time, but with the hint of a something much darker)

VOY: Torres - Great to have a Klingon who hates everything Klingon (outwith the main cast I would go with Seska, a cunning and devious foe)

ENT: Tucker - He's just so pretty (outwith the main cast I liked Shran, Jeffery Combs should just be made a main cast member in the next series)

TNG- Picard

Voy- KES
Each of the above were outstanding.but so were most of the actors in the Trek series.It was very hard to pick a winner.

TOS: McCoy---he wears his heart on his sleeve, and he's a grouch, just like me (and Squidward's my favorite SpongeBob character, BTW--LOL!)

TAS: Sulu---I liked him in "The Slaver Weapon", where he actually got something to do.

TNG: Picard---a Renaissance man, a fascinating and very highly evolved human being, unlike his twin brother, who starred in four truly awful theatrical films.

DS9: O'Brien---down to earth, honest---a family man, someone to admire.

VOY: Tuvok---the only character not ruined by a really poorly-written series.

ENT: Phlox---fun, funny, layered---tremendous (mostly untapped) potential---my other faves, Tucker and T'Pol, were ruined by season four's uneven writing.

All-Time Winner: McCoy---damnit, Jim! I'm the best character in all of Trek!

TOS - Spock - Nimoy's acting surpassed everyone's by far

TNG - Picard - same as above with Stewart

DS9 - Jadazeea Dax - the best written and acted of all the characters

Voyager - Easy one - Torres - most real of all the characters and was multi-dimensional

Enterprise - Dr. Flox - best acted and written of the characters

TNG - Data. A fascinating character and study of humanity.
DS9 - Bashir. He started out a complete bore, but I felt he developed well. Perhaps the negative beginning helped make him feel more realistic with the character growth.
Voyager - the Doctor. Just brilliant.
Enterprise - I haven't watched much yet. I kinda like T'Pol, interesting to see how she's changing her style to fit with the humans on Enterprise.

TOS = Spock - Nimoy is untouchable.
TNG = Data - I tend to like the "outsiders" of the shows.
DS9 = Kira or O'Brien - Kira because she had the best story arc on the show. O'Brien because I like how he was the "everyman" of Trek.
VOY = The Doctor - Again, I like the "outsiders."
ENT = Archer - He was something we hadn't seen before, a flawed leader, unlike any of the other captains. I really respected that they did that with the character.
