Who's in the 30's Club?

Now that the 20-somethings are starting to rally, I figure it's time that the 30's REPRESENT!

I'm 34 (just turned this past summer). I personally LOVE my thirties. Never freaked out hitting the big 3-0. (Had a huge blow out party and a rollerskating rink. It ROCKED).

So who else? :D

I am 32 and if I am going to love it...so much stuff has to change in my life...like fast! :sigh:

:( Well, I hope for your sake that stuff changes quickly.

I'm part of this club. 36 to me is just a number, but at the moment I'm trying to lose some weight.

My hubs is turning 36 next month. And who's not trying to lose weight? :D

What program are you doing (if any?)

I will say as much as I love my thirties, I do notice that I ain't in my twenties anymore. It's getting a little easier to injure myself than it used to be. Not fun when I'm working out.

I'm 37, and I've really liked my 30s too.

Physically, I'm probably in better shape than I was for most of my 20s. Mentally, I'm a little slower, which might be from the infant-induced sleep deprivation that I still haven't recovered from. But I find I'm making up for it by being a little wilier.

Can we really be bothered? We are supposed to be the most jaded, after all. :D

I enjoyed my 20s, generally, but my 30s so far have been better. More money, more freedom, more control, more all-round satisfaction.

I have noticed the odd little muscular twinge/stiffness here and there that I never used to have in my 20s though. And I don't like the idea of 40...!

Me! Me! Me!

At 31, my thirties has been glorious and magical. I don't know how I got by when I was still in my 20s.

31 here. After getting married and having kids in my early 20's, I feel older than I am.

Nothing at the moment, but my sister has been trying to get me onto Weight Watchers. Probably will start after the convention I'm heading to in 2 weeks. Plan on fixing my mountain bike tomorrow, so I can do some exercise tomorrow.

I'm 34. My thirties have been basically a continuation of my 20s with a slightly better job and a better understanding of what constitutes good beer. Both decades have been perfectly enjoyable.

LOL I had the majority of my brood in my twenties. But I'm glad I did. The two I had in my 30's took a lot of out of me.

Don't feel older though. I do, however, feel like I have it together way better than I did in my 20's

I used that program after one of my kids with great success. I've moved onto a different lifestyle since... but it's a great place to start! :techman:

Everyone else: *waves*

I turned 30 in March. Uneventful so far, just like my 20s and teens.

You're feeling this in your 30s? I didn't start to feel any of that until my late 40s. I'm 51 now so it's only been during the last few years, but for the most part I feel great.

It's nothing serious; just noticing feeling better after a good stretch in the mornings, etc, etc. That sort of thing. One presumes getting these things a little early is the result of too much good living and too little (read: zero) exercise, but overall, so far the trade-off is worth it. :D

^ I get the twinges and stiffness too. But I have been very hard on my body over the years. I have pushed myself beyond my limits, especially in my early twenties. To that end I have destroyed both my knees and right shoulder. All three are slated for surgery in the next five years. But I have no regrets about it though. I am living on my own terms and was well aware I would have to one day pay the piper. :bolian:

As for myself, I am 35 and loving it. I spent my twenties trying to find myself. Now that I have (more or less) I have been able to ease into my thirties gracefully. It has been an interesting ride so far. I may not be as young as I used to be but I also have so much to look forward too. It is very exciting with a future ripe with possibilities. :D

I'll be 33 in a couple of months. I have less angst and more cynicism. I also take joy in crushing the hopes and dreams of those around me with a tidal wave of negativity. :techman:

Well, since we had our last kid at 29, we'll be in our 40's when the kids are done with high school and (hopefully) starting college/their own lives.

Not being a big one for partying myself, I'm happy with having kids at a (relatively) young age and being young enough to enjoy grandchildren (hopefully not too young, though!).
