Who's in charge of the novel line now?

Does anyone read the magazine at all?
I do, and it's a good read.
Me to. For those who don't he's a regular contributor (and I think editor).

Nobody in this thread so far is an editor on the magazine

Marco is, though.

Picked up the new issue today. Looking forward to reading it on the plane tomorrow.

And, you know, I hear there's a Valentine's Day issue coming up . . . .

And it's very good too - I got mine the other day.

I love the trail for the next issue after it..

Who is in charge of the Star Trek eBook line and how does one go about contacting staff who work on the eBooks?

I want to tell them of the problem with their recent ePub eBooks and the embedded font not displaying without being fixed in CSS. Also, it would be a good idea to have someplace to submit errors so they can be corrected.

Re: Who is in charge of the Star trek eBook line?

I'm sure you've asked this before and been unable to find out your answer, hell, I'm sure I even posted a link to the British arm of S&S regarding it as the American website was pretty crap.

Actually, I got home from Seattle last night to find an advance copy of the Valentine's Day special waiting for me. A pleasant surprise!

Have you tried ringing Simon & Schuster and asking to speak to someone in Complaints? Or sending a letter addressed to Public Relations?

^Yeah, there's not much point asking about eBooks on the TrekBBS. All we have here are fans and freelancers; I don't think there's any real Pocket/S&S presence here anymore now that Marco and Margaret have moved on, and a complaint about eBook content would be more on the production/technical side than the creative/editorial side anyway. It would probably be more useful to go to the S&S website and look for the "Contact Us" information.

Okay, but that doesn't mean that asking on the TrekBBS will achieve any better results.
*shrug* The results can't be any worse, and there's potential for them to be better if someone knowledgable stops by. I don't see the harm in asking.

Doesn't work - the Contact Us link leads to a web form that's just a black hole, as far as I can tell.

I've used that black hole er form before and got no reply at all. I even found some number that was supposed to be to call support and that was useless as the people there had no clue about eBooks. S&S makes it rather difficult to find anyone who knows anything about their eBooks.

I asked here because even if we don't have official S&S staff coming round, we have authors who can ask official S&S staff. I'm hoping someone (author(s)) will ask S&S what's the way to contact S&S about eBooks. And besides, asking here is no worse then trying to find where to ask S&S. Trying to contact S&S about eBooks is akin to a headless chicken.

So if you buy an eBook direct from S&S's website and you have a problem with it, you very well may end up with the problem and your money gone. They need to make it easier to deal with eBooks then they do. When S&S first switched to ePub, they had all kinds of problems with the DRM. That meant that a lot of people lost their money.

And that lead nowhere if I recall correctly.
