Who's Going To Creation's Las Vegas Convention?

For the cost of the room you'd think they would allow free wifi.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
I'm staying with my dad. He doesn't have internet at all at his house.
My friend Jeff S. is planning a group photo for those in costumes and a get-together after the costume contest.
The Group Photo will be on Saturday, August 9th at 12 Noon. This is the same day and time as last year. As in past years, we'll gather in the large
open area of the main convention floor lobby. After the Group Photo
session, please don't run off! Stay, chat, socialize and pose for
individual photo ops. And then... Let's head over to Quarks and the
Deep Space Nine area for some "on set" photos and fun.
Did someone say Costume Party? Why not? This is our convention,
right? And we have the right to party! The Star Trek Experience
will soon be history. Let's go out with a bang with an unofficial Costume Party at the lower level of the Star Trek Experience and adjoining Space Casino area immediately following the Costume Contest on Saturday Night.
Basically, just show up in costume and have fun.
Spread the word about these two fan events!

Hey cool Erik (I know you from Trekspace-- right? I'm Blue Topaz over there). My husband has a pretty killer Captain Archer costume but I'm not sure we will be around Saturday night. But if we are we would love to come and meet you.
I will be there on Sunday. My original intent was just to go to STTE for the last time but since I'm already there, I've been thinking about doing the last day of the convention as well. Since I've never been to one, I was wondering about the main events. Do you have to wait in line all day for these things or is there plenty of seats if your just getting the general admission tickets?
Also, does anyone know the cheapest way to get STTE tickets?

There's reserved preferred seating for gold and captain's ticket holders and I think "preferred weekend" ticket holders. Those tickets are somewhat limited, so there are seats for general admission but you'll probably be standing in line and end up back rows. The room where the forums are held can hold about 4,000 people (according to Hilton's web site).
I presume you buy them at the hotel. I can't imagine there is any such thing as cheap tickets for The Experience.
Actually, there are. First find a NV resident; that's $10 off. Or, there's apparently a place to get half off tickets. Somebody in another thread mentioned it. There's also some kind of explore Vegas ticket package that gets you a lot of Vegas restaurants and attractions for a relatively cheap package price.

The Hilton's web site quotes a ticket price of about $43 ($7 off for NV residents). Is that really a lot? It's a unique experience, with a live cast and support staff that has to be paid, special effects, etc.
I finally got a reply on the location of my Gold Pass. It was not sent yet so they are holding it at the door. At least that is one thing I don't have to worry about forgetting when I pack. I need one section of the suitcase just for charging cables.
What are people taking for autographs? The only thing special I may take is an origional script to Shuttlepod One. It's too bad you don't get photo-op pictures back in time for them to sign.

Connor and Anthony shot from Cease Fire for both to sign (taking on the Andorian and Vulcan fleets)
MU Tucker for Connor to sign
MU Sulu hitting on RU Uhura for both to sign
MU Spock for Nimoy to sign
Haven't picked scenes for Walter and Robbie to sign
Need to figure out other pics to print for Gold ticket autographs

You go girl.At least you are spreading it around. I bought 2 Scott Bakulas, 2 Malcolm McDowells and a couple others (Nichelle Nichols-- and I might have to break down and buy a Connor one at the con. I had to get a wheelbarrow from the bank -- and we're not even talking photo ops yet!!)
Actually I have 3 Scott autograph tickets but one was a gift. I was worried that he might think I was obsessed, but um, how many do you have for Connor???
I have a question. Are they going to be able to put "To--- so and so" on them?
