Who you gonna call?

Isn't it this game that was (indirectly) responsible for killing all prospects for a third film?

No, that's Bill Murray.

I read recently that the reason Bill shit all over Ghostbusters was because GBII had been changed in it's entirety when they went to shoot it. Before that, when he first agreed to it, it was much better. Apparently.

To Babaganoosh, actually I'd read that the game was pitched to Ramis and Ankaroid by a video game company, as they'd been pitching GBIII ideas to the studio and getting nowhere. The game developer said, "why not make it into a game?" From there, the only hart part was prying the Ghostbusters licence from Sony, which was a pain in the ass.

If the game is successful, you can count on a third movie. Everyone loves money.

Well to be fair it has been a few decades and he only ever played that character twice. Personally I don't think any of them sounded quite like they used to. Shock! Horror!

It does look very good. Bill Murray's voice sounded a bit off though

The From Russia With Love video game has Sean Connery's 21st century voice. A bit weird to have it go with his 60s look.

Space Cowboys was probably the worst, having young actors portray Eastwood, Jones, Sutherland and Garner, but having the four provide the voices of their young counterparts.

At the end of the clip he seems to say "where's the fun in that" in an Irish accent

Also, why are there 5 Ghostbusters in some shots?

IIRC the premise of the game is that you (the player) play as a new recruit.

It's easy to say that the game looks awesome, but this trailer was nothing but cinematics. There was no gameplay (which looked rather weak in previews from earlier this year), and no real hint of how the game is going to actually work.

If anything, it's a good proof-of-concept for a computer-animated Ghostbusters movie.

If they were cinematics, they were rather of rather poor quality. The way the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man wrecked a building stood out as rather poor, especially. I took them as in-game cutscenes cut together for a trailer, or scenes scripted just for the trailer.

BTW, is it just me, or does Winston's head look a size too big for his body?

^ But Ray's line was priceless:

"I swear it wasn't me this time."

Yeah, it was. The characterizations in the trailer were all great.

*Ego says something about there being a lot of ghosts*
Peter: "Well, more overtime."

Winston: "Just once I'd liked to be with these people running away from the danger."

Here's gameplay footage from this year's E3 and Comic con.

Again, I think it looks very promising.
