Any suggestions, no matter how wild or unlikely...

I'd like to see Tatiana Maslany in the role. She's a proven, critically acclaimed actress, she's around the age you'd expect a Lt. Commander to be (30/31), and she could potentially bring her existing fan base from Orphan Black with her.

My first thought when I saw this question was Tatiana Maslany. Orphan Black is ending. Maybe that's why the casting is taking so long. The writers want her in a prominent role?

An Andorian female. ENT developed Andorians so well, and I'd like to see more of them.

It doesn't really matter who is cast to play this role. Maybe Emma Watson, as she has the right bone structure to do Andorian.

I like the suggestion of Chyler Leigh just because she has the quintessential "Star Trek" look and manner. It's so easy to imagine her in a Starfleet uniform (sounds kinkier than I intended...).
