Drinking is way more fun on an empty stomach. I'm an "Aberdeen pub crawler too"

As long as Kes isn't round, Neelix might be fun.

I'd take him, Paris, B'Elanna, Seven and maybe Kim (if he promises not to whine and worry about what mummy might say) on the Pennine ale trail.

A keg of Bloodwine for Harry  :klingon:

To prepare for our pub crawl I advise everyone check out Larry Miller (the comedian) and his Five Stages of Drinking. That's what we're in for.

ROAD TRIP!!!

ROAD TRIP!!!

To quote a friend of mine in wrong German: es wird Wein gesauft!

The Doctor has to come along. He's going to sing "What shall we do with the drunken Harry.... early in the morning"

OMG so true. Neelix is that annoying guy who turns into a squicky mess whenever his girlfriend is around.

"Sweetling, I really don't think you'll like the Guinness, maybe some lemonade for both of us.."

Leave her behind to tend to the hydroponics bay.

If you are looking for creepy company, take Lon Suder with you (I almost misspelled him as Son Luder. Son is crystal clear and Luder means bitch in German ).

^I'd play chess with Tuvok. I'm good but he'd probably beat me. I'd still like the challenge.

...Tuvok: At first, he seems the typical, non-fun boringly logical vulcan. But he seems to have a really subtle sense of humor, and he isn't a typical vulcan, when you think about it...

Was that a black reference? :p

No. I was referring to him having a subtle sense of humor (IE the episode Riddles, his toe tap dance in Homestead), and the fact unlike most Vulcans, he went into security, rather than science speaks to the fact he isn't a typical Vulcan. Next to Spock and Sarek, Tuvok is my favorite Vulcan character, and is probably my favorite Voyager character.

Harry Kim, he is the most regular guy on the crew who I could probably relate to.
I would probably have nothing to say to captain Janeway or Chakotay, to Tuvok I would be just another random human, Paris has a chip on his shoulder and probably consider me boring, B'elanna is another case in which I probably would have nothing to say but she would probably chat with me if I am polite, Seven of Nine probably sees me as some kind of insect that would be better off as a Borg drone, the Doctor... well he is nice but we have nothing in common.

But Harry, well to him I would just be another guy who dreams of exploring strange new worlds and see stuff that no one has ever seen before and still do regular activities while doing my best to stand out in my own way.

That's probably the most depressing post in this thread. You can do better than Kim. We can all do better than Kim.

Being left in the room with Kim while everyone else is chatting means that......we were too dull for them

I have a recurring nightmare where I'm trapped in a room with Kim & Kes talking about favourite types of stem bolt

Even Libby Webber

refused to marry Harry Kim. Chose the head of Starfleet Intelligence instead. Wise decision.

Hi all,

Heh, some great reactions from all of you.
I can understand why you are saying this and I don't know how to respond really. I guess I would talk to Harry Kim because I am kind of bland myself and I know that (know your own strengths and weaknesses).
I am interested in science, technology, and philosophy but I don't shine on any of these so I would not know how to start an engaging conversation with say Captain Janeway for example, one in which exciting new ideas are made up.

Would be interesting in debating the Borg's motives/philosophy with Seven though as I do think it has some blank spots that the Borg Collective does not seek to cover. (What would the Borg define as 'perfection', do they have some kind of image of what it is like? Second, once the Borg have achieved perfection, what will they do with it? Make reality/creation perfect? Making a variant on an existing saying; why would a perfect being create a universe? And even if the Collective did that, it would have no purpose any more and a being without purpose is not perfect)
Heh, who knows, if I could get past the whole 'questions are irrelevant' thing with the Collective itself it might actually stop for a moment and ponder on these.

Neelix as an alternative, well to be honest I find Neelix kind of boring. He sadly like Kim is often mostly an extra on the ship.

But I have been thinking who I probably could also relate to; Reginald Barclay.
At least we have in common that we both like cats.

No one on the Voyager board is allowed to be bland. You'll have to pick from one of the other available options

-narcissistic
-eager
-needy
-hypocritical
-humourless
-sexually perverted *waves*
-incomprehensible
-obsessive

LOL, 'Which trope character are you?' :P

Probably a mix of eager, needy, obsessive, incomprehensible, with a dash of sexually perverted.

LOL, 'Which trope character do you belong to?' :P

Probably a mix of eager, needy, obsessive, incomprehensible, with a dash of sexually perverted.

Sounds like Harry Kim from the Mirror Universe :D
