Lieutenant Commander
JJ Abrams is great (I love him) but if he (God for bid) ever drops out of the next movie project who should take his place?

Directors I would like

1. Steven Speilberg
2. Christopher Nolan
3. Peter Jackson
4. Matthew Vaughn
5. James Cameron

Directors I would Deslike

1. Micheal Bay
2. Brett Ratner
3. M. Night Shyamalan
4. James cameron

yeah......... I put james cameron on both list because he could be very annoying atimes and I still feel Avatar is/was overrated,Spiderman 2,Star trek 11,The Dark Knight,Inception, are all better films than Avatar

hey...has anyone notice that Avatar looks (well not so great) on A TV wihout 3D????

Whether he decides to direct or not, Abrams is still the executive producer and won't be dropping out.

I very much doubt you'd ever see any of these directing a Star Trek film, but suit yourself.

I'm sure there was a point here, but it's badly muddled and doesn't seem to have much to do with your stated topic.

And this is a matter for another thread and a different forum - it has nothing to do with the upcoming movie specifically or Star Trek generally.

Now, I'm certain that I explained to you before about how a thread should be posted in the forum most appropriate to its topic, but you've got two or even three different topics jumbled together in this thread, and probably less than half of it actually belongs here. Why don't I close this and let you write some new threads:

  1. One can be about possible alternate directors, in case J.J. decides he won't be directing this one. (Try to make the options realistic and give some basis for discussion. This is the thread which would belong in this forum.)
  2. A second thread can be about what Avatar looks like on a TV without 3D (you'd want to post that in the Science Fiction & Fantasy forum or perhaps the Science & Technology forum - i.e., not this forum.)
  3. A third thread (should you feel it necessary) could be about whatever like/dislike issues you have with James Cameron and/or Avatar as a movie (that would probably go in SF&F, as well, but most definitely not in this forum.)
