Who was in charge of Lalla Ward's Wardrobe?

Ah, yes, but there's only a %10 chance there's not an imminent canon violation revving it's engine. :)

Ironically, I'm %30 through downloading Paradise Towers as we speak.

OMG!

What the frell is Nyssa wearing in Snake Dance?

(It looks like Martin Clunes shed his skin (like a snake, y'know?) and that is what is left over to act here in this episode... He's VERY young. A couple years after his very very nude scene in Excalibur but still, very young. very very young)

It's quite froody this summer smock the little girl normally tucked out in spacegothic piratess puffiness and taffeta (What's tafifeta? I have no idea what half what I say means.).

Nyssa isn't quite Nyssa if she's dressing like a human being, and a human being form the 80s it would seem, not that her new MODERN hair cut didn't phase me in the Arc of Infinity last week...

I recall Frazer Hines commenting on how the wardrobe people wanted him out of the kilt and into some good blokey jeans for one reason or another probably centred around his maniliness.

A man as manly as this man doubted just because he's in a skirt?

Gosh.

but yes, Nyssa changed her "Uniform" as Allyn was describing the dress-code and the Doctor seemed very confused but couldn't quite put his finger on it as he said "There's something different about you today?"

Gosh what a chuckle. :)

this is one thing the Classic series has over the newSeries, they knew how to dress there female characters, the new series would not know a semi naked woman if one came up & kissed it.

One of the things I love most about current Doctor Who is that the women on the show actually dress like real women dress most of the time -- rather than dressing them like slutty college girls going to a bar to hook up with frat bros, like a lot of TV shows.

I'm sorry to move my focus onto Nyssa, but any stout hearted lad would be confused who to adore first given the choice between to such fine fillies to covet, and I have just moved onto the next episode, "Mawdren Undead", where she's CHANGED AGAIN!

This time she looks poised to go to a Disco-Teck, whatever the English equivalent of Studio 54 was... It's very nice. [Borat]Niiiiiiiice[/Borat]. Now even though it is layered, so we're not talking about nudity here, but the overshirt has a very deep plunging asymmetrical neckline that makes her look like a half opened birthday present.

Which is a good thing. A very good thing.

I think Nyssa's "Snakedance" outfit is awful, but the "Mawdryn" one is indeed quite nice. Shame they started rotating her outfits only two stories before she left, though.

I love Nyssa's outfit in Terminus. And no, not because she mindlessly strips it off throughout the serial. :p

It's as if this was the first time she had to dress herself by herself from her big sisters wardrobe and mismatchFrankensteined a fashion schism out of four or five actual passable outfits like sticking few boxes of Barbie dolls into a blender.

Earlier Adric called Tegan some sort of, I forget the derogative, "woman" and Nyssa with her nose out of joint was told not to worry that blanket insults on all women should affect her since she didn't qualify as being the same sort of creature because she was still just a "girl". I know I was claiming she was possibly a thousand years old last week, but how young is she? My first impressions of this era, clear as day still, were from when I was 6, so I didn't really register any of these people as "kids", since even the youngest was nearly three times my own age, even though now I can't help but remark that Davison there could pass for a teenager with not too little effort.

Then of course according to one of the audio, Adric was waiting for Nyssa to grow up so that he could marry her, so god knows what was going through that kids brain?

In one of the photos on previous page, post 11, you can see La La wearing a long scarf like Tom does. She may be the only one that ever did. Good work Wills.

Harry wore Four's scarf since it ddin't go with Four's kilt for the first ten minutes of Terror of the Zygons.

Davison looked LOST inside Bakers HUGE outfit while he was recovering from regeneration in Castrovalva.

There's also a nice publicity photo of Janet Fielding wrapped up in Tom's scarf out there somewhere.

Neeto. now if only there were a shot of her wrapped up in air. or a 1 piece fishnet, done a classy way of course.

Depends on the nudity. Go to a nude beach & you'll probably have quite a letdown. Tegan a letdown? Not a chance.
