Who likes to see an Enterprise amusement park?

The Experience was as close as we'll ever get, and it's gone now. The Exhibition is an ok traveling runner-up.

If they'd actually built the refit 1701 in Vegas back in 92 like they where thinking, I imagine even it would be gone by now. Vegas has changed and grown a massive amount in the time since then.

I doubt Trek will ever be big enough again to warrant such a locale. The Experience was built during the hey day of the mid-90s and I don't see those times coming back. :S

Most I could ever see is an area of an existing park getting a section, like how they have such for other fandoms at places like Universal and such.

You never know.

I was lucky enough to meet former Star Trek producer Dave Rossi once. Dave is a great guy, and the only remaining staffer from the Berman-era still with an office at Paramount. He works as part of a dedicated team that designs theme parks based on Paramount properties, and has had clients wanting to develop Trek related projects. I was desperate to know more, but, quite understandably, all these things are commercial in confidence, and he couldn't reveal too much.

As I understand it, these projects are very, very expensive to develop, and my guess is this is likely an issue in developing something to the satisfaction of all parties.

It wouldn't surprise me one day if a (very) cashed up fan got Rossi and his team to develop something "for the fans", even if it wasn't a commercial proposition.

If I had a lot of money-- I would just pay effects artists to pour out ideas, sets, ship concepts, etc.

Stock footage for the future.

One word: Dubai.

Sell them rich oil guys on the idea and a year later there'll be a full size 1701 in the middle of the desert. ;)

Isn't there some sort of Star Trek amusement park being build in Jordan? The King is a big fan and was on an episode of Voayger while he was still just a prince.

^ Holy crap, that is actually a thing:

I want to visit THIS awesome park, based on the new movie Trek.
Free pointy ears for all kiddies! I love how the ride cars look like shuttle pods. This would probably attract fans from around Europe, and much cheaper than building it in UK or Germany.

With the museum idea, you could have a replica of Quark's.

And a Morn statue where he's always sitting.
No, a plaque: "Keep it warm for Morn." People could takes turns being photographed on the stool, beer mug in hand.

Chug chug chug!

I like to see 5 big buildings of each Enterprise. Fans can roam and explore the enterprise. You can take the elevator to the bridge look at captains ready room.Go explore sick bay. Go to transporter room. Go anywhere you like even the enterprise tavern have a drink. go inside any theater and watch some trek. Id would love to do this.

If you build it... They will come.

Maybe you can convince these people to build it:

Perhaps a corporate partnership of sorts. Disney has "Tomorrowland" which is part of their themepark dedicated to the future. Why couldn't another park that is owned or partnered with Paramount do their own Star Trek themed version of "Tomorrowland?" You could have Quark's bar, the Enterprise, staff in Starfleet uniforms and real-life ideas and concepts about the future.

When we all fall out--who will be there to remember our Fandom--there's a project for those inclines--to distill the best of everything on this board into a book one day...

I'd rather have Star trek science museum. Make science cool and a little childish in some areas for our inner explorer.
