Who likes to see an Enterprise amusement park?

steveda19

Lieutenant Commander
I like to see 5 big buildings of each Enterprise. Fans can roam and explore the enterprise. You can take the elevator to the bridge look at captains ready room.Go explore sick bay. Go to transporter room. Go anywhere you like even the enterprise tavern have a drink. go inside any theater and watch some trek. Id would love to do this.

I would love to see something like that.

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like a realistic, viable bussiness proposition, though.

I would think it was awesome but I don't see the tourism dollars to justify it. More realistic would be to have some kind of museum exhibit with scale replicas of the TOS and TNG bridge sets.

The engine room can be an actual brewery for the adult visitors! :techman:

They do this once a year in Georgia ... Not far from me.

Part of the Farragut Fest.

An excerpt from the article:
Visitors will be able to “beam” into the transporter room, step into the captain’s cabin and wander the bridge and long, winding corridors of the set meticulously designed to look like the original 1966 “Star Trek” set.

Another excerpt:
Down the road, we might create a theme park. People could take tours, get married on the set. We’ve only begun to explore the possibilities.

Now, considering the article was published in 2012.
It seems the idea for a theme park was put on the back burner.
They've recently been funded to make another Star Trek show rather than a theme park.

With the museum idea, you could have a replica of Quark's.

Also, it would be cool if somebody actually thought out the rules of Tongo and Dabo and set up a board and a wheel, with a supply of fake latinum and waiters in ferengi makeup.

And a Morn statue where he's always sitting.

^^^ Absolutely brilliant!

Would also be nice if they offered an extended stay.
A side hotel sort of thing. Some guest quarters, sliding doors, opens to the enterprises corridor.

You could do a lot of that stuff with the old ST:TNG CD-ROM. It was basically a virtual tour of the Enterprise-D, 'narrated' by Trek people like Majel Barrett and Jonathan Frakes.

Something like that was considered at one time ...

Getting an expensive full scale model is just a pipe dream. But getting a museum with some set replicas is perfectly within the bounds of reality.
