Who is the bigger whiner: Annakin or Luke

Oooh, that's a tough one. They both whined quite a bit, but I think Annakin takes the trophy, since he whined his way to the Dark Side.

Annakin. Luke had a right to whine at first, since he got thrown into it all rather suddenly.

Annakin made most of his own problems. Plus, the actor was less skilled and therefore character came across like a little punk.

Anakin.. by far.

This whiny, self-centered, arrogant bastard deserved everything he got. He had everything handed to him on a silver platter (apart from a nice family situation) and he managed to spoil everything,

He had talent, a gorgeous girlfriend/wife, a very close friend (Ben Kenobi.. not the Emperor ;)) and was on the fast track to promotion and may have had a breakthrough when he exposed Palpatine as a Sith. However he wasted it all afterwards.

Luke was the most manly hero ever compared to that.

Hmmmm.

"But I want to go to Tashi station to pick up the power converts!"

Vs.

The entire prequel trilogy.

That *is* a tough one. ;)

They both whined a lot but Luke was kind of endearing while Anakin just made me want to put my foot through his face.

And why is this in this forum?

Pretty much. And Luke's balls atleast dropped and he grew over the course of his trilogy. Ani just became more of a bitch as his trilogy wore on.

By The Empire Strikes Back Luke was nearly a full-fledged Jedi who dared to take on the Emperor. By Revenge of the Sith, Anikan was still moping and crying about kiddie bullshit and people holding him back.

I think the bigger question who was the bigger whiner: Anakin or Luuke? Now we only see Luuke for a very short time, never the less he was a pesky clone.

Definitely Anakin. Luke's whinyness was almost only that one power converters line. Anakin was a crybaby even to the very end of the prequel trilogy.

Joy

With the exception of that toshi station line, Luke wasn't that big of a whiner. Despite having been given more of a reason to whine than his father had in the entire prequel trilogy, Luke's balls seem to have dropped and he mans up by the second half of the first movie.

If anything, Anakin was even more of a whiney bitch at the end of ROTS than he was at his introduction in TPM.

Annie, no contest. While Luke had a much shittier life he turned into a badass hero, Annie whined til the end about people holding him back.

If you watch his deleted scene with Biggs (which I happen to have just done for the first time), he really seems quite responsible; the same things he later argues with his uncle over (staying for the season, etc.) he defends to Biggs, who, though older, treats Luke as an equal - and who notes that Luke is the only one of their circle of friends reliable enough for to trust with is plans to defect to the Rebellion. Complaints about Luke whining might have been fewer if the scene had been left in.

It was pretty much dead even but as someone else stated, Luke had problems because of what happened to and around him, Annakin created most of his problems and whined his way into the dark side.

Luke. He was a punk bitch even as a Jedi. Boo-Hoo, I can't kill my father or Palpatine. Bitch even cried to his father as he was getting roasted: "Father, help me please!" You didn't see Anakin crying, even when he was on fire.

Anakin at least killed people with no bitching like Luke did. Anakin also didn't bitch any more wearing a black Vader suit either. It took Anakin to do want bitch Luke couldn't and that's kill Palpy.

Whining is a family trait. Anakin by far.

"The whine runs strong in you family... pass on ... what you have learned..."

"Strong am I in the whine... but not that strong..."

I personally think Anakin was a bigger whiner, while Luke was better at it. Does that make sense?
