Who Is Not Watching....

Hot In Cleveland? Seriously, go to TV Land's website and watch it. Support Betty White! This I command!

Yeah, after downloading the pilot and watching it on iTunes, I'm going to have to give my best wishes to Betty White and hope the show does well without me watching it.

The pilot was dreadful until Betty White showed up. This would possibly have been more interesting a single camera comedy. And Wendy Malick kinda gets on my nerves...

It's not as terrible as I expected. I've always liked Malick and Jane Leeves though. It's definitely a throwback in terms of style to "classic" comedies, and some of the jokes definitely don't work, but....it's not terrible. Haven't gotten around to watching episode 2 yet though.

I don't know, Malick's character just seemed to be another version of Nina from Just Shoot Me. In my opinion, she was the weakest link, though Leeves and Bertinelli pulled their own. Betty White was awesome, but then again, I don't think there's much that you could put her in, comedy wise, that she couldn't steal the show and make it worth watching.

I'm giving it a try. Pretty much agree with the rest, it's not great but it isn't terrible (yet). A lot of jokes do fall flat and are corny but I'm going to give it at least 5-6 episodes before I decide if I'm going to finish out the season.

The best way to support Betty is to destroy this show.

It's a fine cast but the writing is shit.

Agreed. I'm a sitcom junkie and consider myself more forgiving than most when it comes to them, but the writing on this show is dreadful. An occasional line from Betty White is the only redeemable thing about it (and generally it's in her delivery, despite bad writing), and those moments are few and far between. I gave it 2 episodes of my time, and no more beyond that.

TV Land continues to prove that they suck balls at original programming. Please in the name of all things holy go back to showing nothing but classic TV shows.

I've liked Wendie Malick since I first saw her on Kate & Allie, but she generally doesn't play all that many characters that don't get on people's nerves. Being annoying is her thing. You have to follow her Disney voice work before you get to any characters you might like.

It's quickly becoming Cool in Cleveland. And I don't mean cool as a term of good either. This last episode was just as bad as the others, maybe because Betty White didn't get as much screen time. Her character is intentionally the most over the top but she pulls it off whereas the others seem to be given substandard material to prop her up, as if White needed the help.

Love Betty White and think she is immensely talented. But I have no interest in this show as a whole.

I actually found episodes 2 and 3 a vast improvement over the pilot. A lot of the jokes and situations are still cliche, but the performances and the whole flow of the show felt more natural. Haven't seen the latest episode yet, but I plan to keep watching the rest of the season.

Betty White is funny, sure, but it feels like she's just going through the motions - not actually acting or trying to create a character. I contrast this with her guest spot in the season finale of The Middle as the school librarian. She did a great job in there, and it didn't feel like I was just watching Betty White read a script while drifting on and off stage.
