:klingon: me. It's vapid garbage.

Now they want to bring this sensability to tv. They want us to accept a side stepped TOS. What a mistake. There was plenty of room for a prequel. A new show should be based on a space opera that could be adapted into Star Trek : The Beginning. After all this time it needs inspiration and a great story behind it. Perhaps they are looking for the Galactans an ancient reality dreamers race. This would give it some focus. Trek is unfocused except on xplosions and sfx. The band that follows the Beatles better be pretty special.

I'm not angry with nuTrek. I'm mildly disappointed that they didn't go for a complete reboot, but I'll work through it...

I'm extremely happy with it, own it on bluray, plan to see the third movie (and the fourth if that rumour turns out to be true) at the cinema, purchase them on bluray and excited at the prospect of the new series potentially being set in the same universe.

And plan to buy it also. Basically watching it, rewatching it and financially supporting it as well as voicing support on sites such as these.

I'm not angry with it. When I watched the movie I noticed that it doesn't touch me at all, not in a negative or positive way. I didn't watch the second movie in the theatre and saw both movies only once.

I'm a TOS purist, and I've enjoyed the Abrams movies just fine. They're quite entertaining, unlike the vast majority of VOY and ENT. In fact, I think I saw "Into Darkness" four or five times in the theater.

If I don't like a movie or TV show, I just won't watch it any more. What's the point in getting angry about it? It's just a movie.

We have no facts as t what the new show is going to be like. your comments about it are unfounded.

Kurtzman is not a sci fi visionary. He's an egomaniac with nepotism. Bad Robot is controlling the Star Trek universe.

I'm guessing you're not a native of Staten Island.

Or maybe...you are.

Well, yeah. That's how any sort of show or movie work. One production company to rule them all.

My sentiments exactly. NuTrek is awesome, and I can't wait to explore more of that universe!

'Cause real Star Trek fans don't care for story quality any more. They are more into the story of their own real life.

I am not angry with it, but I felt that the new movies were not on par with the quality of the older movies. I had a difficult time finishing "Into Darkness". I guess they are similar to the Next Generation movies, but those were not as good as the original ones. It just does not feel the same to me. I think that the first new one was very well polished, but there just wasn't that extra layer I was looking for. I know that there are different types of fans and we all have something we love. I can still watch Next Generation reruns on Amazon Prime to my heart's content. :)

I'm happy I'll have a new Trek series to watch, watch again and then go online to tell other fans how their opinion is wrong for disagreeing with me.

The last two movies were terrible unless you like well acted fast paced thrill rides that are fun for the whole family with a subtext of social commentary. But stuff like that doesn't need to be associated with Classic Trek at all, what with it's fist fights and plots derived from issues relevant to the late 1960s.
