Who here liked "Pushing Daisies?"

That sucks about it not being available in the UK. I wonder if it plays on another channel their. I know Netflix for example has movies and shows that you can see in one part of the world but not another. Also maybe I Tunes I have never used I Tunes so i'm not sure how that works.

Loved the series. Shout out for Jim Dale, because. And Chi MacBride should play Nick Fury. The series did have the problem that Chuck and the Pieman not being able to touch was an insoluble dilemma, where there couldn't be a choice made. Choice is drama, so this was a constant weak point. Making the Pieman blind to Olive demeaned him without elevating Chuck, no matter what Fuller thought. I'm not sure that Fuller didn't somehow feel that a physically uncosummated love isn't purer and nobler. In hindsight, that seems too much like Will/Hannibal, Will/Jack..

It used to be possible to get around the restriction by using a VPN that made it look as though your IP address was in the US. However, I believe Amazon, Netfix etc. have closed down such access now.

Is that where the trend of having Fuller name the female lead with a male name started? Such a bizarre thing to do.

The heroine of Dead Like Me was George for short, not Georgia. It is almost certainly Fuller's way of investing the central relationships with a male/male reading. (The "heroine" of Wonderfalls is the ambiguous Jaye. Another J is currently the male protagonist of Animal Kingdom.)

Loved PD. I actually started a re-watch on Prime Video in the last few weeks. The show's style and look were just so different from everything that was on TV at the time. The show was self confident and knew exactly who it was.

Emerson was my favorite character. He was so sarcastic and dismissive of everything and everyone on the show except for the way it all affected his bottom line. Chi McBride was great.

But I agree with a poster back when PD was on who wrote that the show needed an overarching "threat" which would have given it some gravitas.

Didn't get into a bit of a deeper arc towards the end with someone's father?

I just remember there was a thing for a while with Ned bringing Chuck's father back life and it turning out he was involved in some kind crime or something.

I see what you did there.

This was a great show as I remember, but I don't remember the details and I don't think I watched most of the second season because I didn't think it would be renewed for a third.

If it helps the show does have closure. Granted it feels tagged on as if they found out they weren't going to get a third season at the last moment but it is there.
