i do i only eat fish on fridays at easter time! who ease does it? take care love ry;) ps any 1 know how the eat only fish or no meat begain?

We definitely get a lot more people ordering fish on Fridays during Lent. It bothers me because I don't eat seafood, so I always have to lie when they ask me how it is.

Yeah we always have fish on Good Friday and I'm not a huge fan of it either. Why can't the tradition be that we have a huge steak instead? I think I'll start it.

What's wrong with being honest? :wtf: Tell them you don't eat seafood. If you were my waitstaff, it wouldn't affect my decision.

Well, usually I do tell them that, but you'd be surprised how many people get offended by that reaction. They expect me to be an expert on every single item on the menu, and if I tell them I don't normally eat something, their opinion of me immediately drops.

Let's just say that the typical clientele in this town is not very understanding.

Good Friday is "Kebab Friday" for me. Being always in contradiction with the catholic church is an art I've mastered a long time ago.
The kebab I had yesterday was wonderful.

I was good and skipped meat on all Fridays in Lent this year. It was a challenge for me as I tend to be a real carnivore when it comes to dinner. I quickly became sick of cheese pizza and salads (we're not really fish people)...I guess that's why they call it a sacrifice (as small as it is).

Since Lent ends tomorrow, next Friday, it's going to be NY Sirloin with Spanish Rice and a nice Chilean Cabernet!! :techman:

I was off meat for Lent so I'm really looking forward to hitting London next week and getting a Double Whopper in Burger King and then a nice steak, maybe in the Aberdeen Steak House in Leicester Square or perhaps chicken with the Jack Daniels sauce in TGI Fridays.
Roll on Monday week.:techman:

Never had a problem eating meet during Lent. Beef, It's What's For Dinner.

I did have tuna for dinner on Friday, but it was just a coincidence. I had a beef TV dinner for lunch.

I have an egg (but not always boiled) during the day, then fish for dinner. No meat.

Then chocolate on the Sunday :D
