Who eats in front of the TV?

Sometimes, I sit in front of the TV, on the floor, eating off the coffee table as our couch is VERY new (According to Dear Wife, it's made from angel's wings, harvested by hand and made by specially trained Ninja elves)..Dear Wife has been exercising her eyes and sits across the room at the dining table watching her favorites.. mostly, we both eat at our kitchen bar..not watching TV at all.

I appear to be the odd one out (but what else is new?) in that I don't watch TV while eating meals.

When I was younger, I would sometimes have snacks while watching TV or movies, but sadly, not anymore.

I will usually read the news on my phone while eating breakfast on the weekends. During the week, breakfast and lunch are both eaten at my desk at work (so I guess I'm technically in front of the computer then! )

I watch youtube Q&As or podcasts for stuff I'm interested in. Sometimes I'll watch a repeat episode of one of my favourite sitcoms.

I like to be completely shut off when watching something on TV for the first time, so no food not even snacks.

Same here now. I did in the past when I didn't have a home office and Mrs-dimesdan was out.

As for eating in front of the TV, we tend to do that most nights, on a Sunday, or if the food is particularly messy/saucy, we'll eat at the table.

I have to confess, I do it. But no potato chips or candy. Only my normal evening meal.

Sometimes with a glass or wine, but mostly with a smoothie.....

All the time for me. "Dinner and a show" is a classic concept.

I think that the only time we don't eat while watching TV is when we actually have guests, then it's the kitchen table or dining room.

No.

I got rid of my oven because 1) I can't cook worth a damn; 2) I only ever used the oven to heat up frozen pizza, which I now hate; and 3) I had just gotten a CO detector and I know it would have gone off if I'd ever fired up that oven again.

I don't eat in front of the television, I find it to be too "judgy", always commenting on my portion sizes and reminding that it 'will go straight to my hips.'

I must admit to eating in front of the TV. Our dining table has become a storage platform for everything my wife wants to put there plus her personal desk. We bought some nice TV trays and we use them most days.
