Who Cut The Crews Hair?

hux

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
So Mr. Mot cuts the hair on Enterprise and it would seem that this profession is one of the few that hasn't been made redundant by technology. At least not for most species (it might explain why Vulcans later adopted the one size fits all hair-style... technological limitations).

So who did the hair on Voyager?

We know Bolians have a knack for it so maybe Chell? We also know that the doctor dabbled to an extent when he (over) stimulated Seven's hair (make it nice and long so I have to keep it up all the time, doc).

Janeway must have been going to see someone for all those buns, bobs and bangs.

I vote Kenneth Dalby. He learned to control his volatile emotions through creative hairdressing.

Stimulated hair.... That explains Janeway having longer hair all of a sudden. That would be nice. One day a short bob, the next day Rapunzel hair ("let down your hair to me......", I can already see the Doctor trying to climb up the rope-like hair)

Even in the 24th century people have bad hair days. This had to be remedied.

Maybe the Delaneys as "The Scissor Sisters"?????

The Delaney twins as scissor sisters.

hux likes this.

I don't want this thread to descend into another discussion about bald people but if you could stimulate hair growth, why the hell wouldn't you?

I think the doc also did Lyndsay Ballard's.

I've asked myself this question my entire life - okay my entire life since I watch Voyager. Exactly since I watched the episode where Kes gets telepathic training by Tuvok and she somehow sees Neelix when he's at the barber. But who is the barber?? I can't think of a job as a hairdresser on a Starfleet ship. That's just strange - who would want to do that? Well, it's a mystery...

B'Elanna's hair changes from season to season. So does Tom's. Sometimes he's blond...sometimes he's not.

Oh yes, well remembered.

Did we see it or just hear it? I don't remember seeing anything.

Didn't Chell replace Neelix? Who's the cook now? I forget. I don't like to watch Endgame. :P

I automatically assumed a Bolian. Is that racist?

Chell applied four the position of cook after Neelix left and offered up a pun-heavy menu (red alert chili etc).

Some (guy) say that admiral Janeway's real motivation for coming back in time was so that she could avoid having to eat Chell's cooking for 16 years.

The hair is automatically shortened with beaming. That's why cremembers who don't leave the ship often have long, messy hair. The molecules are later reformed into a beautiful hairbow for Naomi Wildman.

I don't know about the rest of the crew, but I'm convinced she has a private hair dresser chained in that side room of hers off the ready room that leads to another door that exits on deck one behind the turbolifts.

The one where Chakotay took her when she was his hostage in Shattered? One minute, he's got the phaser on her then the next, they're in a corridor.

The conference room also had a second exit that no one ever seemed to use.

I assume it went somewhere sexy.

Just so you know, I cut and repaste after I forgot to hit reply just so you could get an alert. :eyeroll: Now LIKE MY POSTS! Because I'm an attention whore too! I just am introverted about it. (People, this is how Hux and I dance. Try to ignore it. Or eat popcorn. Whatever floats your boat)

It's just how they edited the film. there's a space there. example if you pause that moment where the door opens to the corridor Chak and Janeway exit to, look at the wall behind him. Suggesting a hallway or you'd see her other ready room door to his rear right indicating no space existed. I have an eye for detail. Most of the time :P Plus it's on voyager blue prints.

It could be somewhere sexy. It was never canonized. No behind the scenes info about that mysterious gap. I speculate a toilet. Which isn't sexy but it's realistic.

Toilets don't exist in Trek (ever seen one?). It gets beamed away when you're at work. There's a sudden twinge and a grimace followed by a smile. Everybody just looks at you like... Dave's just had a space dump.

I would love one of those sinks they had though. You know, the ones they pull out.

Does it give a trim, you know, down there?

I'm with Pondwater - Chell.

A stylish Bolian living vicariously by running his fingers through alien coifs, and dishing about the Captain's dalliances.

Sam Wildman and Janes either had the same stylist or did each other's. Tom's hair was as like a mess as not, and not in a good way. Kim had an all-purpose hair helmet, Chak a Mexican flattop, and Torres a Prince Valiant. Nothing a good old-fashioned Starfleet manual-trained barber couldn't handle.

People in the 24. Jh don't have hair down there any more. They're advanced you know. ;)

Don't you see the irony of this post with your signature?

I too find those sinks great. I want one so I can close it to hide a boyfriend's beard trimmings. Or my friend whose make-up powder debris are tapped in. wth people. Water is right there for the rinsing.
