I think it was Braga who were obsessed with catsuits. First Troy, then Kira, Kes, Seven and T'Pol.

And I thought that Star Trek was about good stories, good characters and space exploration.

They aren't mutually exclusive. 7 of 9 is the most interesting character on Voyager, even without the catsuit aspect.

I agree, she is still a great character regardless of how she is dressed, and Jeri Ryan is an amazing actress. Just because she is sexy doesn't mean she can't be smart and bad ass.

I don't think anyone has a problem with Seven of Nine or Jeri. It's how the character was used.

The phrasing gives me a chuckle. When I have a kid, I'm not telling them that they were the result of a bottle of whiskey and a Friday night. Instead, I'll inform them of having been "Created & Crafted" ... with Love!

Braga wanted a dude, wrote it all up, gave the idea to network, and the one note that came back from the suits was "Put tits on it".
