Who are your favorite Sorcerers?

Who are your favorite Sorcerers, Witch, Wizards, Mages or whatever you want to call a magic user?

One other thing, could you say what version of the Sorcerer you like. For example if you list Merlin, is it from Excalibur or Camelot (I know it's just a musical but I think it gets my point across) or any other media he may be in.

My favorite is Vanyel Ashkevron from The Last Herald Mage trilogy.

There is also Albus Dumbledore from the Harry Potter books, I also like how he's portrayed by Michael Gambon in the movies.

Merlin in the movie Excalibur. I wish I could remember the Sacred Charm of Making.

A list cannot be complete without Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings books.

The Sorcerer from Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Samantha from TV's Bewitched.

Merlin, hands down. The Merlin of T.H. White's The Once and Future King and, subsequently, Lerner and Loewe's musical Camelot (the stage version). He's wise, humorous, stern, put-upon and fallible -- and just plain magical.

I also like Mickey Mouse in Fantasia (granted, he's a mere apprentice).
