who are the most interesting Star Trek aliens?

Yeh, sometimes the stories are cheesy, but in the end, I have to give the nod to the Klingons, maybe if only because Worf was a great character.

Next, I suppose, would be Q. Wouldn't have minded if they'd have developed a bit further who he was.

startrek had alot of species you would only hear about once or twice, kinda upset me, things like the overseer, and the planet eaters, and other races that werent in the series like the billion year old society who would capture a star and use its energy as a fuel source, and any of the ancient races that make the 24th century tech look like rocks and sticks.

I went with the Romulans since they seem like they're the most duplicitous and intriguing. Plus there's likely a lot about them that we could still learn about.

Vorta
Andorians
Bolians(I wanna find out what's their fasination with plumbing.)
Borg
Hirogen
Viidians
Ferengi
Cardassians
Klingons
Changlings
Salt Vampire
Data

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. Too bad Trek XI couldn't have been about a conflict with them and some of the mythology surrounding them.

Well, I picked "other," as I like the quirky Tamarians from the TNG ep "Darmok." And the Jem'Hadar always intrigued me, a race genetically engineered for war. If you think how sophisticated the Founders would have to be to create a race that matures in days and whose members have cognitive skills built into their DNA, it boggles the mind.

I also liked the focus on the Andorians in ENT. It also helped having Jeffrey Combs portray Shran, and the touch of racism in his hurling the epithet "pink-skin" to Archer and co. was a nice addition to their makeup.

And more Romulans, of course, are always welcome! It's too bad the Romulan Subcommander from the DSN ep "The Search" didn't become a semi-regular, but then Martha Hackett wouldn't have gone on to play the duplicitous Seska on VOY.
