Who are the “Worfs” of other species

Hi all,

I am curious as to what characters in the literary world gave the most insight into an alien culture similar to how Worf did for the Klingons.

I’m new to the novel verse but I’m very much enjoying the character of Gell Kamenor as a “good” Romulan. I really admire how the authors showed her as still being very patriotic even though she has a different view of what that entails from other Romulans. Of course the obvious answer for who is the Romulan Worf would be Ael though.

Anyway, please let me know what characters you think really stood out for certain species!

I guess Shar in the DS9 Relaunch would fit the bill for the Andorians, since most of the novels' version of their culture and biology was established in stories focusing on Shar. Taran'atar in the same series was meant to do the same for the Jem'Hadar.

Definitely agree for Shar. Haven’t read any DS9 relaunch but I’m curious what books feature Taran’atar and Jen Hadar culture the most

Garak would be an obvious choice for Cardassians, but literary wise there is a good argument for Rugal and The Neverending Sacrifice in my opinion.
