White Stripes, Alicia Keys do "007" duet

I'm hopeful. I like Jack White in both his White Stripes and Raconteurs environments. And while I'm not a fan of the style of music normally played by Keys, she has an amazing and sexy voice.

I'm happy with it.

(Sorry I had missed this some how - what I get for searching for the song title).

Seems an odd combination, but Jack White is an odd guy. It could work. Quantam of Solace does sound like a Muse title, though ;)

Just wanted to add that (if IMDB can be trusted) it isn't White Stripes it's just Jack White singing in the duet with Alicia Keys. Meg White is not being included.

I'm not familiar with The White Stripes (or Jack White), but I'm indifferent to Alicia Keyes.

I, too, would have preferred Muse.

Another vote for Muse here. Not really a fan of The White Stripes or Alicia Keys. Though as long as it's better than Die Another Day or Tomorrow Never Dies I will be happy.

What, no Coldplay? :p

Whoever they pick, they'll suck. I haven't liked the vocal part of any Bond theme since The Living Daylights.

Muse are ok but way over rated. Not Jack White's first work on soundtracks but I hope this is better than the stuff he did for Cold Mountain. I have never liked Bond movies for the music though it has to be said some title songs have become iconic over the years.
For the record my favourite Bond tune is Live and Let Die by Macca. I loved the unused Pulp song for Tomorrow Never Dies.
I think the Manic Street Preachers could do a Bond song. Ian Brown could do something different. Even Pete Doherty could do one. As long as it's never Robbie Williams I don't mind really. It's the movie that counts for me.

White Stripes are awesome. I like them better than Muse, but it will be interesting to see what this duet will be like. Hopefully it's up-tempo.

They should have kept Chris Cornell, with an explicit contract requirement to never make cover songs.

EVER. :p

Alica could've done this without Jack's help. The Stripes are okay, but very hit-and-miss for me.
