Frankly I think the idea that the Queen 'doesn't do anything' is ludicrous. She's spent 50+ years of her life being head of state for Britain, here and abroad, she has regularly met with and advised every Prime Minister since Churchill (round two), and many PMs have said not only her guidance and wisdom has been invaluable, but that they were surprised and deeply impressed by her skill with politics, economics, and world affairs.
I would pick Elizabeth any day over Charles who has a tendency to shoot his mouth off and embarass himself. Fine if you're junior health minister, not fine if you're (future) king. That's part of the burden of the job.

Yeah, but it is politics, and you know there's people out there who can and will push for him to abdicate or move on quick after ascending.
He doesn't have "Off with their heads" privileges? What's the point of being king then?
