Which bad guys / monsters of the week would you like to see make a return to Doctor Who?

For me

Midnight Monster
Gus
The Fendahl

Image of the Fendahl was the first time I'd ever seen Doctor Who. I just saw a little of it at a room party at a science fiction convention.

After seeing the whole story later, it scared the hell out of me.

It was also the story where Leela kissed one of the guest characters (the only scientist who survived) for absolutely no reason.

The repeating monster that was in that trapped in a train under 10's run with Donna in Midnight. (I read the original post and realized what the episode was :( ) The 2-D monsters under 12 in Flatline and how the weeping angels were used in that single episode of Flux with their arms jutting out of the tunnel/ground.

OMG yes the flatline monsters that would be amazing if they came back..... Season 8 and 9 was the best

I'm near the end of The Key To Time series and yeah it's a slog some of the dialog Ugh

The Silurians.

The REAL Silurians, not the lame version from "The Hungry Earth / Cold Blood".

I want THESE Silurians:

latest

  • The Valeyard
  • The Mara
  • The Zolfa-Thurans (the original shapeshifters who can also live as parasites within other species to prolong their lives, like in cacti)
  • The Rani (now get someone who could elevate even the worst dross, like in "Time and the Rani" just by standing there and using some creative inflection... Kate O'Mara was a class act...)
  • The Kasaavin (great idea but were barely used, then dropped :\ )
  • the 2D beings from "Flatline" (ditto, though in most cases the risk of diminished returns might be greater, as it was for the Zygons and likely would be for the Wirrn)
  • The creator of the notion that every critter has to have "The" as a prefix
  • The Michael Grade
  • and last but not least, the monochrome video tape and apply it to stories to give them a visual boost (e.g. "The Happiness Patrol")

I don't remember the Kasaavin, what was that one about?

What about the Ogri? I mean living stones that can look all innocent and stuff but can kill you. Hired as dumb muscle by some aliens

Loch Ness Monster or GTFO!
(And yes, I realize Nessy wasn't the actual villain in the story, but it would be fun!)

...wasn't the actual villain in the story...

Continuing that thought, monsters/creatures/etc. that are not necessarily villains, I want the CatKind of "New Earth" and "Gridlock" to return...

Peanut Gallery: "Big surprise, there...!"

...as they were a creation of Russell T. Davies, so there would hopefully be fewer legal hassles.

I would love to see more of the Catkind. I would even love to see some kind of tie in with the Cheetah People from Survival.

Or perhaps I'm also showing my cat obsession.

I'd love to see the Rutans show up, but really a lot of rarely/never seen in NuWho Classic aliens would be cool to see. Maybe the Macra, but as thinking foes and not just crab monsters. Others have already said it, but the original Silurians need a return. I'm pretty sure that there was even have a NuWho design for the OG silurians that got worked on, but they never used it.
