Which version of Alien 3 do you prefer?

I haven't watch it recently but my recollection is that I liked the assembly cut better, because it had better characterization. I also disliked the queen bursting from Ripley's chest just as she's plummeting into the furnace (too contrived).

There's an additional scene that I haven't seen in either cut but have watched online:

When the rescue team arrives one of them puts down a cage. Aaron looks at it and says "You're gonna need a bigger cage."

Wish I could find it again.
