I'm saying Lorca, only because I can see the drama that could be involved in his death, it could be great.

My humble entries
Saru --- spends a night in whatever they call Disco's Ten-Forward, and finds a crate of Romulan ale. Proceeds to drink himself into a stupor. He is found in his quarters the next morning having choked on his own vomit
Tilly --- her massive hair gets caught in a crevice in the airlock, and somebody accidentily "spaces" her, not realizing she's there

If we're doing Stamets, he can start to disintegrate in watery goo like the Senator in X-Men 1. Serves him right for injected himself with that Tardi DNA
For the sake of death descriptions:
Saru suffers a heart attack after accidentally walking into a room full of Romulans disguised as Vulcans. His threat ganglias were still extended.
One of the greatest things I have ever read on this BBS was a "Enterprise crew - where are they now" thread. Reed got splashed by toddlers and drowned. It was great.

Paul Stamets gets my vote.
I loved cranky asshole Stamets in the early episodes. His current happy phase doesn't work for me.

But I want Lorca's 'ends justify means' bullshit discredited, and him to take a long and much needed vacation on some nice mental institution (not Tantalus V!)
It is not that I don't find the character interesting, but this show can't really boldly go where I want it to go with such a captain.

lorca gotta go.
at first i was convinced his aura of evil was just an act or a misdirect by the writers, i even doubted if he really sacrificed the crew of the buran, but "lethe" dove headfirst into full on dysfunction. i don't know if they can - or even intend - to pull this character back.
he may have to die for the promised lighter second season to be feasible.
