Which Show Replaced TOS on NBC's Schedule?

And who played Bracken in season one of Bracken's World?

No one appeared on screen as Bracken the whole first season; Warren Stevens did a voiceover. Leslie Nielsen, Stevens' old crewmate from Forbidden Planet, was brought in to play Bracken (onscreen) at the start of the abbreviated season 2.

Interesting connection. A bit odd, though, since they sound very different. Out of FP cast members, I'd say Richard Anderson was the one who sounded closest to Stevens.

Jeez who the hell was Bracken anyways and where was he for the whole of the first series? :wtf:

Bracken’s World?!?! I know it’s a contradiction, but I remember that show for being utterly forgettable.

I’ve never seen any books, fanzines, merchandise, video games, blogs, forums, conventions, television spin offs or motion pictures based on that turkey. Star Trek has proven all of the television and studio executives wrong by surviving and thriving for 50+ years.

Yup, that's what it was. Which is why I've never watched The Saint. (Sore loser, that's me!)

Some people in the UK refused to watch Star Trek in 1969 and later because it took over the Saturday night slot from Doctor Who! True that, because I've met one of them!
Might be why the BBC never scheduled it on a Saturday anytime after the first twenty five episodes or so...
