Which New Who set should I get?

Which season?

But... with 3 there were far stronger episodes, Human Nature being one of my favorites and although the finale has a love it or hate it thing with the fans I personally enjoyed the pacing, the Master changing as much as the Doctor does by regenerating and the final scene between the two.
I recently finished my second viewing of Season 3*, and to my shock, it was ten times better than I remembered. I really hated the conclusion to Last of the Time Lords back when it first aired, but I absolutely loved it and appreciated it the second time around. Maybe it's just because I was expecting all the silly bits.

Hope to god there's a similar epiphany with Journey's End, because I wanted to love it, god knows I did.

*The DVD sets have been gathering dust until a few weeks ago. I have no idea why I've waited this long to watch them again.

Okay...that's it.

Sir, you are far, far, FAR too drunk to be posting right now. Please step away from the keyboard and go down some horribly-black coffee....

No no seriously!

I'm saying it gets better if you leave 18 months of loathing and bile to fester between viewings. Or something.

Honestly, it's like, "wait a minute, this is nowhere near as bad the cock-shrivelling abomination I'd decided it was for the purposes of internet bitching".

Well, my forehead hasn't healed since the last time I watched it....and I simply cannot afford to continue to buy new televisions everytime I get to the "I forgive you" part.

Oof.....I think my fingers just went numb typing that bit....

I always thought that the last real scene where the Doctor is alone in his TARDIS and suddenly realises his loneliness made up somewhat for the OTTness and the lacklustre resolution of the two-parter.
It's one of the greatest scenes in the new series, in my opinion.

^You talking about the one at the beginning of Partners in Crime?

No, right before the Titanic crashes into the TARDIS. The Doctor announces what he's doing and where he might be going and then realise there's no one there with him anymore. It's Tennant at its best.

ETA: Alright, I remembered it wrong. Damn. So, there's no redemption for Last of The Timelords, after all... ;)

Yeah, but the scene itself exists in Partners in Crime, and rocks! :techman:

I think fandom on whole, however, should just face it. LotTL is irredeemable...
alright.gif

I think he means the one at the end of Journeys End, after Wilf has said he will be looking out for him.

No, that was just dead silence/sad Tennant face. Didn't work quite as well in my opinion...

Thank God. I couldn't find it and thought I had imagined it. It was driving me mad.
