Which Medium do you use to Write Fanfiction?

Which medium (paper, Microsoft word, notes, etc.) has worked best for you and why? I ask this because I'm writing my own fanfiction with pen and paper, as I considered that it would be better for my eyes, but it is taking a while.

How do you prefer to write your fanfiction?

I used Microsoft Word, its quicker , you have spellcheck and its better storage especially with the Cloud

I was considering Microsoft Word, despite others raving about my handwriting (I don't see how it's as nice as they say it is, it looks average to me). The problem with Word that I have right now is that it doesn't show the green squiggly line anymore. It did on Office 2008, I currently have the 2017 version.

Microsoft Word for me, with scheduled backup to a cloud account.

If I'm using a computer that doesn't have Word installed, I'll stick it in a draft message in my webmail account, then transfer it once I'm home.

I have also used Notepad as a last resort. When you gotta write, you gotta write!

I always write fanfiction starting on paper, because my stories usually come in pieces here and there. I play the story first in my mind, then write down a timeline of what's important to the plot. After that, I write in bits and pieces and tie them altogether with little fillers. I only use Word when I'm using music to inspire me and when the product is finished and I'm going to post it online.

Thank y'all for the advice. A fellow player on Star Trek Timelines and I have been working on a fanfic together... based on a roleplay we started in the Universe Chat! We're in the process of polishing it and picking a meaningful title for it now, and hope to have it up on Fanfiction.net (and will post it on the BBS, too, in the near future). Stay tuned!
