Which is your favorite alternate reality film?

Which alternate reality film is your favorite?

Kirk's Tribble

Ensign
Red Shirt
The title gives the basic meaning of this topic. Which of the films, Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness and even for the future, Star Trek XIII is your favorite and why?

Personally, it's hard for me to choose one, as both of the films are entertaining for me. They both are equally good, to me.

I don't know how one can vote for Star Trek XIII without seeing it (and, as a consequence, it is bound to unfairly suck according to the poll). Can we switch it for In A Mirror, Darkly? Also feature-length and alternative-reality.

Star Trek 3. It's like seeing an ad for Sea Monkeys in an old comic book, then finding out they're not as great as you imagined.

I don't know how one can vote for Star Trek XIII without seeing it...

This, but out of the other two movies, I liked the first one better.

And why isn't Generations or First Contact in that poll? The real reality in Generations was the destruction of the Enterprise D and her crew and Lily didn't go up with Cochrane in First Contact, even though she was supposed to.

Gotta say: seems a bit silly to be voting on a movie (ST XIII) that hasn't even started filming yet. Heck, they haven't even finished the script or done any additional casting . . . .

Of the two that could actually be voted on, I prefer STiD. It's hard to beat Cumberbatch.

I have a feeling Star Trek XIII wont bomb but voting for it as your post-prime favorite without seeing it seems vacuous.

2009, despite the stupid plot and cringe-worthy dialog, was pretty enjoyable. I could see what they were going for, and it had potential. STID, on the other hand, managed to be even worse than Nemesis, which I didn't think was possible. I'm cautiously hopeful for XIII, but I doubt I'll be spending money to see it in theaters unless the reviews are absolutely stellar.

I'm sure some genius will necro this GOAT thread several years after XIII has aired. It's practically an inevitability.

(Help us, Locutus/M'/Mutai, you're our only hope.)
